Unlocking the World: Why Traveling is Life-Changing

Traveling...is it overrated? I personally think that it is abso-freakin-lutely a necessity in my life. I LOVE traveling. Either with my friends, my family, or even by myself.

I recently got back from a work/play trip to Florida. This particular trip, I took by myself.

I think I understand why so many people move to Florida. It is like a large dose of dopamine. It truly makes me happy.

My goal in life is to travel more. I love new experiences, meeting new people, going to places, and doing all the things! It can be a life changing experience, and I am all in.

I don't know about you, but I am a beach person, with a slight draw to the mountains. They both have their purpose.

There is particular place in Florida that is just so very special to me. It's called Anna Maria Island. It is on the Gulf side, and it holds a special place in my heart.

There is a particular beach there that I love, and it's called Coquina Beach. I will go there every chance I get. It is truly paradisiacal.

As a matter of fact, I TRIED to go to a different beach that was a bit closer than Coquina, and it was jammed packed, no parking spaces, and there were tons of people trying to filter in to find that golden parking space...after 30 minutes of waiting/watching/driving aimlessly around, I made the executive decision and drove to Coquina...😏

The picture that is featured at the top of this post is from Sarasota, Florida. I went and watched the sunset (I am a big sunrise/sunset kinda girl) at the Ritz Carlton one evening. As I was watching the sunset...I asked one of the employees at the Ritz if they ever get tired of seeing this over and over again. They responded, "We will never get tired of seeing the sunset from here....it is different every time."

I sat there, overcome with emotion (tears in my eyes) as I was watching Mr. Sun turn the sky all different colors. Have you ever done that? Cried over a sunset? I mean, I don't know, but sometimes, it just gets you in all the feels....

Someday, Florida will be my home state...I can just feel it. I see myself...working on the island at some boutique, riding a bike to work and then riding it to the beach to hang out at lunch. Simple. I picture myself as this short hippie/gypsy/tattooed, beach girl. Living life as I always dreamed of living it. Why not, right? Why not do the things that make you happy. Moving out of state seems like a lot of work, but dang, wouldn't it be worth it? Life is way too short to not do ALL the things that make you happy.

Sometimes, it is a lot of work to travel. You got to book the flights, rent a car, rent an Airbnb/hotel, book tours/experiences, etc...etc...BUT I LOVE IT ALL

We will be taking a vacation as a family this summer to Europe. You will definitely be seeing posts about that. We CANNOT wait.

So, why do YOU travel? Have any special trips that you are looking forward to? Please share your thoughts and experiences!

XOXO,

Claudine
