Opportunity.

Opportunity who?

You’ll never know unless you open the door.

…and that’s where the adventure begins. 

Isn't that the truth? 

I have always tried to be a positive, look on the bright side kind of girl. However, there has been a restlessness in me that has awakened months ago...I am going to go ahead and blame it on Italy...yea, that is a good idea. 😉

So, here is the deal. I am a Sagittarius. I am also an Enthusiast (Enneagram). This is who I am. I adapt to change. I encourage it at times. I love adventures. I love my life, and I want to live it to the fullest. Don't you? 

You get this one chance at this beautiful thing called life...and I don't know about you, but I don't want to blow it. 

Have you ever felt this? You know, when you get this gnawing in-the-pit-of-your-stomach feeling telling you, "It is time." It is time to move on. You have to respond. You have to make a decision with what you know in your heart to be true and right.

The amazing thing is my sweet husband of almost 31 years has been feeling the same way too. 

Without further ado, we have something that we would like to share...we would like to announce to the whole world...we are pregnant! 😐

Nah, just kidding. I had you going, didn't I? For those who know me, know that getting pregnant just isn't in the cards...maybe more on that on another blogpost. 

What I really wanted to announce is...we are moving. Yes, that is right. You heard it here first, folks. 

Can you guess where we are moving to? I will give you three guesses...go on...I will wait. 

1. Italy - nope.

2. Jeffersonville, Indiana - nope.

3. Jackson Hole, Wyoming - nope. 

Ok, give up?

                       FLORIDA

Yes, that is right! Hey, listen, it was either Florida or Rome, Italy, and truthfully, Florida seemed a bit more accessible. Although, I will be applying for my dual citizenship in the very near future...

We are super excited for this new adventure. People may ask, why are you moving? Why are you doing this? Well, my question for you is..."Why not?" 

We have been around this area since 2003...and frankly, that is pretty darn good for us. We love our friendships; we love all the things...but we want more.

We absolutely love Florida. We have been going there for years. It has always been our happy place for quite some time, so why not move there? I have come to gather that life is too short for regrets. We are all on this journey and this is one adventure that we do not want to pass up.  

When are you moving you ask? I really don't know. I know it will be prior to the end of the year. Our house goes on the market THIS THURSDAY! Whoop-whoop! If you think about it, say a prayer for us!

By the way, do you know someone who wants to buy a house? 😜

This life is a miracle, and I am utterly grateful. 💗

So, what new adventures await you? That new job/career you have been looking at? That new home? That trip that you have been wanting to take for decades...Are you scared of the unknown? Of course, change can be scary. Sometimes, though, you gotta take that risk. Just cannonball it. If not, you will regret that you never tried.

Good morning my friends from Sorrento, Italy! It's hard to believe that we are here. I kept on asking John, has it sunk in yet, and finally, well, it truly has. This adventure started out a bit rocky, if I was being honest. My goal was to get us to this beautiful place unscathed.  From our delayed flight in Louisville and almost missing our connecting flight in Philly - we were down to the minutes folks, and we were the last to board our flight to Italy. Personally, I have never run harder in my life, looking like a complete idiot in this crowded airport, sweat dripping down my face, with my backpack bouncing up and down - that felt like a 50-pound weighted vest along with dragging my carry-on down the Philly airport (that place was HUGE!). A Journey Through the Boot

My mother is from Naples, Italy and when I was young, my mother used to "drag" me to Italy with her to spend the summers there with her side of the family. (Sigh) Those memories were the very best. I remember running through my great Aunt's vineyard with the other kiddos, climbing Mt. Vesuvius (that's right, the VOLCANO!), eating the very best food, and sitting for HOURS at the table with family and friends, chatting, laughing and loving life. I was the observer to all this beauty, and I never want to forget those memories.  Something my grandpa always used to say was, "Life is beautiful Claudina..." as he sipped on his grappa after an amazing meal. We would hug and laugh and smile and I understood exactly was he was talking about.  Many years later, our family will begin our Journey Through the Boot in less than 24 hours.
