Let the adventures begin!
Welcome to my new blog Wanderlust Diaries: Adventures of an Enthusiast.
My name is Claudine. It has been a long time since I have done a blog, and I thought it would be a really good creative outlet. I enjoy writing, although, I don't think I am that good at it, however, it is something that makes me smile...so why not?I have been watching Sex and the City (I know, I am a late bloomer) and I am hooked. I love the parts where Carrie Bradshaw is writing. It is pretty thoughtful, and I was inspired.
You might be wondering what an Enthusiast is. In the Enneagram world, I am a number 7, which is an Enthusiast. People who know me, think that the Enthusiast is pretty on the mark.
According to the Enneagram Institute, Sevens are extroverted, optimistic, versatile, and spontaneous. Playful, high-spirited, and practical, they can also misapply their many talents, becoming over-extended, scattered, and undisciplined. They constantly seek new and exciting experiences but can become distracted and exhausted by staying on the go. They typically have problems with impatience and impulsiveness. At their Best: they focus their talents on worthwhile goals, becoming appreciative, joyous, and satisfied. Key Motivations: Want to maintain their freedom and happiness, to avoid missing out on worthwhile experiences, to keep themselves excited and occupied, to avoid and discharge pain.
If you have not taken an enneagram test before, I highly recommend it. If you look up WEPSS, you can take it there. It does cost a minimal fee; however, it is worth it, and it is, hands down, the best personality test I have ever taken.
You can read more about the Enneagram here: The Enneagram Institute - The Enneagram Institute
Not only am I an Enthusiast, but I am also a Sagittarius. I really think they go hand in hand.
So, I started this blog, now what? What should you expect? I am not really sure. I love many things, traveling, sunrises and sunsets, music, dancing, reading, cooking, the outdoors, the beach, hiking, working out, tequila, tattoos, my family, my cat, and my friends. Truly, I love all the things that make up this thing called life, and I am utterly grateful for it. This blog may be a mixture of many things....so please hang in there with me!
I don't know about you, but I feel like it wasn't until I turned 50 that my life started! Those of you who are out there who are in the 50s club...can you relate? Call it what you want...midlife crisis, come to Jesus moment, spiritual enlightenment, whatever...all I know that I am on this journey of understanding myself more and spreading joy and positivity wherever I go. Becoming the best version of myself. Life is way too short, right?
It's January 25,2025 and I feel like this month has 874 days in it. I am also doing my first Dry January...and it's been...interesting to say the least. Today, I went to Total Wine and bought some non-alcoholic beer and margaritas...Don't judge me. I am on the homestretch! 😉
I also have an amazing feeling about 2025. Like, deep in my gut, I just know that this year is my year. I can't say that I have ever felt like this before, but I am looking forward to whatever opportunities come my way.
I leave you today with a Pitbull quote from one of his songs..."It's only one life, you don't get two, so live life, don't let it live you." 😍
Now go out there and live your LIFE to the fullest!
Cheers to 2025,
Claudine
